Using Insurance and MediSave for ENT Care
Depending on your coverage and the care you receive, eligible ENT procedures may be claimable under MediSave and/or your personal insurance plan. ENTcare Clinic is MediSave-accredited and can assist with e-filing for eligible procedures. We also work with selected personal and corporate insurance panels. As coverage and claim limits differ between policies, our team can help you understand the applicable billing process before your procedure.
How Insurance and MediSave E-Filing Works
For eligible procedures, ENTcare Clinic can submit the relevant claim electronically on your behalf. This helps streamline the reimbursement process without requiring you to submit the claim yourself. The process generally works as follows:
1. Payment is made at the clinic
You settle the applicable bill after your consultation, investigation or procedure.
2. We submit the claim electronically
Where eligible, our team e-files the relevant costs to your insurer and/or MediSave.
3. Approved amounts are reimbursed
Once the claim has been processed and approved, the applicable amount is reimbursed to you.
Claims remain subject to eligibility, your individual policy terms and approval by your insurer and/or MediSave.
Using MediSave and Insurance for Nasoendoscopy
A nasoendoscopy, sometimes referred to as a “nose scope”, is considered a day surgery procedure (SM700N table 1A) and may be eligible for MediSave and personal insurance claims, subject to your individual coverage and approval. The procedure can be performed at ENTcare Clinic without requiring hospital admission. As the clinic is MediSave-accredited, eligible nasoendoscopy charges and associated investigations can be e-filed where applicable. If you intend to use MediSave or insurance for a nasoendoscopy, our team can advise you on the applicable billing and claims process based on your coverage.
Corporate Insurance
ENTcare Clinic also sees patients covered under selected corporate insurance plans. Coverage and billing arrangements may differ depending on your employer and insurer. If you intend to use corporate insurance, contact our team before your appointment to confirm whether your plan is accepted and how the applicable billing process works. Please note that the MediSave e-filing process described above does not apply to patients using corporate insurance.
